Sow at 6-10kg/ha alone or 2-6kg/ha when a component of a pasture blend. Sow seed no deeper than 25mm in a fine but firm seed bed. Lightly harrow to improve germination. Suitable for overseeding into an established stand.Disease and Pest Management
Dalkeith is susceptible to Clover Scorch, Phytophthora Root Rot and Cercosprora Leaf Spot. Dalkeith is generally grown in dry, low rainfall environments with less than 400mm of annual rainfall. In these areas the susceptibility of Dalkeith to these diseases greatly reduced. During emergence it is essential to monitor regularly for damage from insects such as RLEM and lucerne flea, and spray as required.
